Infinite Patience Produces Immediate Results

15 April 2020

We are only a few months into the COVID-19 Pandemic response with some way to go, yet the “are we there yet?” rhetoric is being ramped up.

“When will this end” “What’s the exit strategy?” “When can we play football?” “When can we go out to a cafe/restaurant/nightclub?” “When can we get back to normal?” and on and on and on.

Here’s what’s so … no one knows for sure exactly when this will change. There is no definitive date for restarting anything. And if you think that we will just snap back to how it was before … think again.

Right now the entire human race is being challenged to slow down, get present, be still and become aware of what really matters, what really gives meaning and purpose to this glorious gift of human life.

This process is tough … it’s hard going for most as we navigate the relative uncharted waters of our deeper feelings, thoughts, hopes and dreams. It takes courage to face yourself at the most fundamental level, it takes practice to feel and heal and allow and let go.

And it requires patience.

Cultivating patience is the choice to BE here now, to accept what is so, to allow the process to unfold and to appreciate the whole process as it occurs in its own time.

When you plant a seed, water it and let it be, it grows in it’s own way, in it’s own time. If you constantly tug at the shoot and demand that it happen quicker and faster … well the outcome is never what you want or expect.

Right now, this moment is all we’ve got.

There are no certainties in terms of a timeline.

What you can be certain of is that you are ok, this is the opportunity you and I and the whole human race have chosen to go within and re-connect with our humanity, our compassion and our love and remember we are all in this together.
